Metcalfe Lab - Assistant Professional Researcher
The Division of Pulmonary (ZSFG) is now recruiting for an Assistant Professional Researcher. The main responsibility of this position will be to work with Dr. John Metcalfe on NIH-funded projects. The goals of these projects include advancing novel molecular M. tuberculosis tests (e.g., next-generation sequencing assays for rapid drug susceptibility testing that are scalable within high burden settings); optimizing sample preparation and sequencing library construction for M. tuberculosis; and elucidating host- and pathogen-specific determinants of M. tuberculosis latency, recrudescence, and transmission. In the context of these and related projects, specific responsibilities will be to advance and participate in M. tuberculosis
