Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) is seeking applications for a Assistant Research Professor to serve as Assistant Director of the Center for Proteome Analysis. The successful applicant will be a Ph.D. scientist responsible for management of core projects under the guidance of the core director. Specifically, the successful applicant will be expected to: help users with experimental design, perform and troubleshoot proteomics experiments, maintain core instrumentation, develop methods for user projects, and analyze quantitative and qualitative proteomics data. Expertise in LC-MSn approaches and associated bioinformatics is required. Areas of potential expertise include data independent acquisition methods, high throughput clinical proteomics, targeted MRM or PRM method development. A strong publication record with evidence of independent and collaborative publications is desired in one or more of the following areas: quantitative analysis of protein expression (using methods including isobaric tagging, label free quantitation, and SILAC), global analysis of post-translational modifications, top-down/middle-down mass spectrometry, chemo-proteomics, thermal proteome profiling, and/or affinity purification-mass spectrometry. The IUSM Center for Proteome Analysis is well equipped with four Orbitrap instruments including an Orbitrap Eclipse and an Exploris 480.
