Applications are invited for postdoctoral associate positions in the lab of Dr. Cristina Alberini, in the Center for Neural Science at New York University. Candidates will focus on the identification of molecular and cell biological mechanisms underlying learning-dependent protein metabolism homeostasis regulation, which is critical for the formation of long-term memories. The regulation of protein metabolism is altered in several brain diseases such as neurodevelopmental disorders and neurodegenerative diseases and the project should be able to identify novel relevant mechanisms both in healthy brains and in diseases. The project will employ rodent and/or human systems (iPSC) and multi-level technical approaches to address questions at the molecular, cellular, bioinformatic, and behavioral levels.

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $58,500 - $70,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.

PhD in Neuroscience, Biology or related field. Experience in molecular and cell culture techniques and animal behavior is strongly preferred.
