The Zlokovic lab at the Zilkha Neurogenetic Institute Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California, Los Angeles is seeking to hire a Postdoc Scholar Research Associate. The laboratory is internationally recognized for research contributions in Alzheimerâs disease and stroke and is interested in other neurodegenerative diseases and stem cell technologies. Studies will focus on neurovascular and related changes in Alzheimerâs disease (AD) using transgenic mouse models with genetic AD risk factors such as APOE and PICALM, and/or models of neurovascular conditions such as CADASIL. Studies will include a combination of in vivo and tissue analysis techniques using mouse and human tissues, including tissue staining and imaging, viral vector delivery, and the opportunity to develop spatial transcriptomics assays to study the effects of AD risk genes.
The ideal candidate should have experience with several of these techniques. Some experience with molecular biology and analysis, and in vitro cell culture assays is a plus. The Postdoc Scholar will work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and will closely collaborate with other Research Scientists in the lab and lab members.
The annual base salary range for this position is $64,480- $72,000.
