Vacancy ID: PDS003688Position Summary/Description: The goal of the Marsico Lung Institute/Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Center is to provide mechanisms to generate world-class research into the pathogenesis and treatment of diseases that impact the human conducting airways and lung. The focus of this position is on understanding disease mechanisms and performing research and development towards novel therapies for CF and other airway and lung diseases. Research in the laboratory focuses on model systems, innate immunity, stem cells, gene therapy, cell therapy, and gene editing as approaches to better understand and treat airway diseases.The research activities will involve a series of experiments to both develop novel models of airway disease and
