Vacancy ID: PDS003680Position Summary/Description: The goal of the Cystic Fibrosis/Pulmonary Research and Treatment Center is to provide the mechanism for generating world-class research into the pathogenesis and treatment of disease that impact on the airways of the human lung. The focus will be on muco-obstruction in lung diseases. The research in the laboratory focuses on the biology and physiology of airway secretions in general, mucus in particular, and how these properties relate to mucus transport in the mammalian lung in health and disease. The research activities will involve a series of in vitro measurements of mucus biophysical properties, couple to in vivo measurements of mucus transport, that may include simple measures of parti
