Description: HHPR seeks to fill the following faculty position: M.S. in Medical Science Clinical Assistant Professor. Baylor University has approved plans for an online M.S. in Medical Science Program (MSMS) with a first cohort start date of January 2023. This program will include a rigorous combination of multidisciplinary courses in medical science to elevate students' applications to professional schools. The clinical faculty member will teach courses within the MSMS program and help with applicant evaluation and student mentoring. This is a full-time, 12-month faculty appointment.
Responsibilities:
Teach online courses within the MSMS curriculum with expertise in a variety of core MSMS courses and preferred physiology experience in clinically relevant biochemical instrumentation and analysis, clinical-based study of microorganisms and/or genetics/epigenetics regarding pathology, immunology, and public health
Work with the Program Director and other team members to evaluate student applications
Mentor students to enhance professional school credentials, as well as writing letters of recommendation for students
Demonstrate effective teaching and mentorship in a manner consistent with the Christian mission of the university
Work with the Program Director to implement program policies and procedures consistent with SACSOC accreditation standards including those necessary for ongoing programmatic assessment
Model a commitment to diversity to faculty, staff and students
Oversee the development, on-going refinements, implementation, and assessment of the MSMS curriculum
Participate in professional activities at local, state, and/or national levels

Qualifications: Required candidate traits include a doctorate in Health Sciences or a related clinical field, a record of university teaching, and relevant research or clinical experience. Recent experience teaching in an online graduate program is highly preferred. Previous experience in curriculum development, student recruitment and retention, program assessment, and accreditation processes is strongly desired.
