The Raina Lab at Syracuse University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher to participate in one or more of the ongoing research projects focusing on understanding the epigenetic mechanisms regulating pathogen defense in Arabidopsis. We have identified and characterized several Arabidopsis histone demethylase that are involved in regulating defense against pathogens. These histone demethylases regulate a variety of defense processes, including pathogen-mediated accelerated flowering and transgenerational resistance response. This project will involve detailed characterization of one or more of these histone demethylase and identification of downstream targets by ChIP analysis.
