Job SummaryWe are looking for an energetic and highly organized Research Assistant interested in human genetics and cortical development. The position will involve working on somatic transposable elements (TEs) in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and Alzheimer's disease (AD), as well as other molecular genomics projects. As a NIH and HHMI funded lab at Boston Children's Hospital, the Walsh lab is focused on the elucidation of fundamental mechanisms governing development and evolution of the human cerebral cortex. We use human genetics and animal and cellular models in conjunction with molecular tools in our investigation of neuronal development. This Research Assistant will be responsible for:
