The University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Veterinary Pathobiology seeks applications for the faculty position of Director of the Dr. E. A. (Al) Corley OFA Endowed Program which is newly established to ensure that canine molecular-genetics research and associated activities continue at the University of Missouri after the anticipated retirement of laboratory director Gary S. Johnson. Over the past twenty years much of the effort in Dr. Johnson’s laboratory at the University of Missouri has focused on the identification of mutations responsible for a wide variety of heritable canine diseases and on making the benefits of these discoveries available to dog owners and their veterinarians by offering fee-for-service canine DNA testing.
