The Department of Population and Public Health Sciences is in search of a post-doctoral fellow.
We seek a motivated post-doctoral fellow to join our ongoing studies on the cancer-causing potential of new and emerging tobacco products, including electronic cigarettes and heat-not-burn devices. Candidates are expected to have working knowledge of routine molecular biology techniques used for cancer genetic or epigenetic studies. Hands-on experience with assays that detect DNA damage/repair, mutation, DNA methylation, and/or histone modifications is a plus. Priority will be given to those who have prior work experience with microarray- or next generation sequencing-based platforms. Candidates with successful publication record in scholarly journals are preferred.
The annual base salary range for this position is $64,480 - $65,000. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidateâs work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
