Position description The School of Biological Sciences (https://biology.ucsd.edu/), Department of Molecular Biology, invites applications for a faculty position in Molecular Biology at the tenure-track Assistant Professor level. Candidates pursuing innovative research in the general area of Molecular Biology in both eukaryotic and prokaryotic organisms are encouraged to apply. We are particularly interested in candidates that foster equity and inclusion. Potential areas of interest include, but are not limited to, studies focused on molecular principles and quantitative mechanism that regulate metabolism, gene expression, cell division, DNA repair, translation, protein and mRNA degradation and other processes that orchestrate cell growth, development, immunity and virology.
