Vacancy ID: PDS003607Position Summary/Description: We are seeking individuals to join an exciting research team at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to study mechanisms of gene regulation. Projects will focus on how histone modifications are established by histone-modifying enzymes and how effector proteins that bind to these modifications are recruited to genes to control their expression. Some of the available projects will take advantage of specialized equipment (i.e., a chemostat) that is ideally suited to explore yeast biology across distinct metabolic states (feast/fasting) that create unique 'Histone Codes' that regulate gene transcription.At current, this position is listed as time-limited for one (1) ye
