Research Technician- Pulmonary & Critical Care
GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT: The Knipe laboratory studies mechanisms of lung diseases such as acute lung injury and pulmonary fibrosis. Our lab is especially interested in the role of the endothelium in the development of pulmonary fibrosis and conducts several projects involving both translational human studies and mouse models of disease. The individual hired for this position will have some experience with basic cell biology techniques (ideally gene expression by PCR and protein expression by Western blotting) and a high degree of computer literacy. This person will be involved in translational human and mouse studies using a variety of molecular and cellular techniques including, but not limited to: flow cytometry, single-cell sorting, DNA and RNA extraction, RNA
