Position Announcement:
Indiana University School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, a national leader in clinical care, education, and research, along with the Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center (IUSCCC) is announcing the search for applications for junior to mid level tenure track faculty to join and expand its rigorous breast cancer research program. The position includes an appointment as full-time faculty at a rank commensurate with experience in a basic or clinical science department.
Critical resources supporting this position include a one teraFLOP/s supercomputer dedicated to bioinformatics, the world's only normal breast tissue biobank, a fully annotated breast cancer tissue microarray containing ~600 samples with a minimum of 10-year follow-up, >2 billion medical records, active genomics projects, and a robust graduate training program. The Center has over 30 research and clinical faculty with expertise spanning basic breast cancer biology, screening and prevention, as well as first-in-human and late-stage clinical trials. Program members focus on several broad themes including cellular hierarchy of the normal breast, cell signaling, genomic/epigenomic regulation, therapeutic individualization, and the impact of treatment on bone and muscle. The successful candidate is expected to establish independent research program, collaborate with other investigators, and participate in the activities of the cancer center and the department.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate or terminal degree required. Minimal qualifications for this position include an MD and/or PhD. Junior investigators should have completed at least one post-doctoral fellowship.
