The UB Center for Integrated Global Biomedical Sciences (CIGBS), headquartered in the UB Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics and Life Sciences (CBLS), conducts innovative research and fosters collaborations in new areas of drug development, therapeutics research health system capacity building and workforce development. CIGBS is proud of the impact that our global partnerships have had on the biomedical research and healthcare implementation capacity building efforts in low to middle income countries and we are continuously developing and growing our program in Buffalo. CIGBS actively participates in many undergraduate, graduate and health profession programs by providing lectures and experiential opportunities, and also interfaces these activities with industry partners. We are currently seeking to add a Project Staff Assistant to our team to provide support for multiple projects.
Job Duties:
Provide logistical support for trainee visits, coordinate the development, tracking, and document maintenance for all training materials and training activities associated with the training needs of international trainees.
Function as administrative liaison between trainees, UB staff and external partners for multiple projects.
Compile and submit reports per requirements of multiple projects.
Provide support for project-related activities including but not limited to: travel, procurement, human resources, calls and meetings (including logistics, agendas, and notes), and event coordination.
Provide support for operations and activities for multiple projects as needed/requested by TPRC and CIGBS staff, collaborators, and visitors; provide follow-up for action items.
Interface with internal and external staff to support all activities necessary to complete tasks; Communicate with program faculty, staff, and scholars as needed to obtain information about projects
Assist staff with project-related calendars, tasks, abstract/manuscript submissions and tracking, reports, websites and curriculum vitae/biographical sketch, as well as other required project-related records.
Other project-related responsibilities as assigned.
Contribute to website CIGBS content; Create information for faculty, staff and scholars including photos and bio for individual programs.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher and 2 or more years of experience in an academic research, research laboratory, or clinical laboratory environment. The education and experience requirements described in this standard may be satisfied by an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have excellent computer skills including proficiency with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
Must have demonstrated planning and organizational skills as well as the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
Must be able to work Fridays
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in travel and event coordination; experience with Concur
Experience in clinical trials or scientific research environment
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint environment
Experience with Zoom, WebEx and similar collaborative platforms
