Part-time Lecturer for Genetics / Teaching Genetics
The Department of Biology at Tufts University is seeking a part-time non-tenure track instructor to teach two in-person courses related to genetics. An intermediate-level course in genetics for Biology majors (Bio 41 – General Genetics) in Spring 2023 (Jan - mid May). The course should present basic concepts of classical and molecular genetics, including Mendelian genetics, genetic mapping, the genetic code, gene transcription and translation, regulation in prokaryotes and eukaryotes, genomics, and human chromosomal abnormalities. Prerequisites: one semester of college biology. Enrollment is usually around 350 students. Lectures are delivered in two 75-minute sessions (noon – 1:15 PM on Tues and Thurs).
