Scheduled Hours40Position SummaryPosition open in the Wang lab to work on viral informatics to help understand new, emerging viruses of humans and other organisms. Projects include analysis of metagenomic NGS data, viral genome assembly and annotation, phylogenetic analysis and multiple sequence alignments, detection of recombination, and association with clinical variables. Will work closely with wet-laboratory researchers in the design of relevant experimental research protocols to test hypotheses arising from computational data.
