Job Summary:
The department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine (http://microbiology.med.uky.edu/) is recruiting PhD, MD, or MD/PhD scientists to fill a tenure-track open rank faculty position in the area of Tumor Immunology. The successful candidate will join the thriving faculty of the Markey Cancer Center, an NCI designated cancer center (https://ukhealthcare.uky.edu/markey-cancer-center), whose research programs include a unique blend of basic, clinical and population research. Research areas of interest include basic cancer immunotherapy, tumor microenvironment, cancer immuno-genomics, cancer immune-metabolism, population based immuno-omics, immune monitoring & biomarker discovery, cancer vaccines, and systems biology. Successful candidates will have track records of creativity and productivity, a desire to integrate into our growing community of collaborative researchers, and a dedication to our values of diversity. Candidates will be expected to build and maintain a high quality, extramurally funded research program; contribute to our teaching mission; mentor doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows; and provide service to the University and academic community at a level commensurate with his/her career stage.
