Postdoctoral Researcher
The Department of Biology & Biochemistry at the University of Houston invites applications for one postdoctoral position in Dr. Richard Meisel's group to study the evolution of sex chromosomes and sex differences in flies. Applicants with research interests in evolutionary genetics and genomics are encouraged to apply. The successful applicant will have a background in population genetics, molecular ecology, molecular genetics, evolutionary genomics, bioinformatics, or entomology. The position requires a Ph.D. and relevant academic experience. Responsibilities will include contributing to ongoing research in the Meisel lab, developing independent research projects, and mentoring graduate/undergraduate students.
