The Department of Pediatrics, division of Infectious Diseases is seeking to hire an Assistant Professor on the tenure track in the area of bacterial pathogenesis. This position requires a strong background in translational studies and demonstrated facility with bioinformatics, and big-data analyses, including metabolomics data, genomic studies and RNA Seq. The applicant should be able to demonstrate substantial skills in manuscript preparation, successful grant applications as well as stellar laboratory skills. As a major teaching institution, we will expect that the successful candidate will interface with the MD and MD/PhD post-doctoral fellows on a regular basis, supervise graduate and medical students as well as participating fully in the teaching activities of the division.
The successful applicant will have demonstrated skills in microbiology, immunology and cell biology level, having completed both doctoral and post-doctoral studies
