The Department of Biostatistics at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) has a 40+ year history in the VCU School of Medicine and is committed to excellence in both biostatistical research and graduate education. The department offers both M.S. and Ph.D. programs in Biostatistics, including concentrations in Genomic Biostatistics and a M.S. in Clinical Research and Biostatistics. Our Biostatistics faculty, students, and staff collaborate with clinical investigators in the Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, and Allied Health in a wide variety of biomedical research projects. There also exists ample opportunities to collaborate with genomics researchers from the VCU Massey Cancer Center and the Virginia Institute for Psychiatric and Behavioral Genetics. Located in Richmond, Virginia, VCU has established long-term relationships with the Virginia Department of Health, as well as local and regional health departments. In addition to other computational resources available at VCU, our department supports its own high-performance computing cluster.
