• Design and optimize a tumor - immune cell co-culture system to investigate the molecular interactions between these cell types and their effects on therapy responsiveness;
• Evaluate the effects of different drugs on the tumor immune response in syngeneic mouse models or GEMMs;
• Perform regular mouse genotyping experiments, mouse colony maintenance and mouse tumor induction;
• Carry out cell and tissue immunostaining, microscopy, and image analysis;
• Run flow cytometry and FACS cell sorting;
• Perform standard molecular biology techniques, e.g., plasmid cloning, gene expression and knockdown, qRT-PCR, western blots;
• Assist in the design of laboratory experiments, techniques, and protocols;
• May instruct other staff and students in basic laboratory techniques;
• Perform related laboratory maintenance such as maintaining and cleaning equipment and ordering supplies;
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of experimental results.

College Background and at least 1 year of relevant experience.

• Bachelor's degree in biological sciences or related field strongly preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a research laboratory setting strongly preferred.
• Experience in one or more of the following is preferred: mouse handling, cell culture, microscopy.
• Highly motivated, good work ethic, and able to work independently and as a team.
• Follow protocols with attention to detail.
• Produce accurate and high-quality work.
• Think creatively to solve problems.
• Excellent skills in communication, organization, and time management.
• Must be willing to make a two-year commitment, depending on work performance and funding.
