Position Summary:The project will create human subject-specific induced pluripotent stem cells from deidentified repository specimens, use these to prepare human neuron cultures, and test the effect of alcohol treatment on gene expression, neuronal development, and neurophysiology. Gene editing and/or gene variant selection will incorporate human genetic information linked with alcohol abuset. The goal is to identify neuronal mechanisms underlying alcohol usage disorders.Minimum Education and Experience:A Ph.D. and at least one year of relevant postdoctoral research experience is required.
