Department OverviewThis position supports ongoing research in the laboratory of Dr. Marina Guizzetti. The Post-Doc hired in this position will be involved in research projects aimed at investigating novel mechanisms of astrocyte-neuron interactions in the developing and in the adult brain with an emphasis on how alcohol alters these mechanisms leading to altered brain development, function, and behavior. Astrocytes and their roles in brain development and function are timely research areas of high interest to the neuroscience research field.
