The high-performance graph analytics research group (https://hipgraph.luddy.indiana.edu/) at Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering has one open postdoctoral position on high-performance graph analysis and graph machine learning. The appointment start in Fall 2022.
The postdoc will join a dynamic and interdisciplinary team that includes computer and physical scientists. The postdocs will work with Prof. Ariful Azad on various areas of high-performance computing (shared-memory and distributed-memory systems), new graph machine learning methods (supervised and unsupervised), sparse matrix algorithms and libraries, and applications of graph analysis in computational biology, earth sciences, and energy sciences.
A PhD is required, in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field; a strong background in graph analysis and high-performance computing; and solid parallel programming skills (e.g., OpenMP, MPI, CUDA, etc.) necessary to analyze large and sparse data. The applicant should be fluent in C++ and Python programming. A solid background in linear algebra and algorithms is recommended.
