Associate Medical Director of Molecular Diagnostics
The Department of Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center seeks an Associate Director of Molecular Diagnostics. Candidates should hold a M.D. and be ABP board-certified in Molecular Genetic Pathology (MGP) or have a Ph.D. and be ABMGG board-certified in clinical molecular genetics, or in laboratory genetics and genomics (LGG). Responsibilities will include sign-out of results from a variety of molecular testing platforms, including both somatic and germline diseases and pharmacogenetics in adult and pediatric patients. Additional responsibilities will include teaching and mentoring LGG and MGP fellows, pathology residents, and medical students, and participation in clinical and/or translational research.
