Assistant Specialist – Tlsty Laboratory in the Department of Pathology, UCSF The Assistant Specialist will work closely with current lab members, including a professional researcher, two staff research associates and a laboratory assistant, to provide technical assistance for a project related to cancer biology and more specifically chronic inflammation-associated cancers (CIACs). The overarching goal of this project is to (1) gain a better understanding of the events that drive CIACs in relationship with changes in tissue microenvironment triggered by chronic inflammation, (2) identify druggable targets predicted to prevent, stop or even reverse CIAC progression and (3) test candidate drugs that modulate these targets.
