Reporting to the Principal Investigator, Professor Przeworski, the incumbent provides administrative support, assisting with the organization of the lab, its supplies and databases.
This is a 12 month, grant-funded position with the possibility of extension if additional funding is secured.
Assists with the organization and preparation of samples for shipments and their receipt; tracks incoming and outgoing samples for the lab that are being sent out for genetic screening; updates data sets held in the lab with the results from these genetic screenings.
Assists with the initial drafts of applications for data sets in human genetics and the initial preparation of IRB applications; providing initial completion of forms to obtain access to new data sets and IRB approval for use.
Maintains the lab???s data sets and website.
Maintains and organizes lab samples.
Assists researchers with computational or experimental lab research projects; assists with proofing code revisions in homemade scripts in Python.
Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.
Bachelor's degree in biology or natural sciences. One year of experience in a research environment.
Familiarity with R, Python or an HPC environment
Familiarity with google docs and spreadsheets. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills and the ability to perform multiple tasks.
