Job Summary: The Slukvin laboratory focuses on development of novel stem cell and gene therapies for bone marrow failure and AIDS. We seek to utilize genetically engineered pluripotent stem cells to create off-the-shelf sources of immune cells targeting SIV reservoir and blood cells for transfusion. In addition, we are developing an MHC-defined nonhuman primate model to assess CRSPR/Cas9 gene editing technologies and novel conditioning regimens to broaden allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for HIV cure.The successful candidate will provide technical support for research on pluripotent stem cell differentiation into hematopoietic and endothelial cells.
