This Gene Therapy Research Nurse will be responsible for:
Coordinating clinical research studies which are focused on the development of novel new gene therapy treatments and technologies. These exciting new advances are being evaluated in a variety of genetic diseases including; immune deficiency, hemoglobinopathies, metabolic, neurologic.
Clinical responsibilities include patient care coordination, evaluation, nursing assessment and facilitates care for clinical research patients
Communicating with IRB (Institutional review board), research study teams, patients, families, and health care providers.
Track and coordinate laboratory values
Coordinate with Pharmacy
Coordinate with Clinical Trials Unit, as well as Inpatient and Outpatient clinical teams.
Provide study education to patient/families and clinical staff
Coordinate nursing care of study subjects
Communication with sponsors, regulatory authorities, vendors, and other clinical research organizations
Working 40 hours a week Monday - Friday (no weekends no holidays)
To qualify, you must have:
1 year RN experience required. (Prior research experience, and pediatric RN experience strongly preferred)
Computer skills adequate for grant preparation and database input.
