Summary: Northwell Health Fertility has an exciting opportunity for a full-time ART/IVF genetic counselor. The successful candidate will provide genetic counseling to patients of Northwell’s Fertility Division under the supervision of Christine Mullin, MD, System Chief

Job responsibilities:

• Provide reproductive genetic counseling for a variety of indications to patients undergoing fertility evaluation and fertility treatment
• Documentation of consults and patient interactions
• Coordinate preimplantation genetic testing (PGT-M/SR) cases
• Perform genetic risk assessment of internal gamete donors and determine genetic compatibility with donor recipients as part of the Third-Party Reproduction team
• Communicate review and interpretation of genetic testing results to physician and nurse colleagues, as well as patients
• Act as liaison for genetic testing laboratories helping to triage high-risk results and resolve workflow issues
• Assist in education of reproductive endocrinology fellows as part of ACGME Fellowship program curriculum
• Contribute expertise as required for clinic policies, research projects and abstract development
• Provide education to physicians, nurses and other colleagues, as needed
• Other job responsibilities, as required

Required qualifications:

• Master’s degree in genetic counseling from an accredited training program
• Certification by the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) or eligibility for board certification

Preferred qualifications:

• Previous experience within a fertility setting preferred
