Position Summary This position will focus applying new and emerging tools such as single-cell sequencing, bulk RNA sequencing, and metabolomics, as well as publicly deposited big data, to characterize the mechanisms of AhR-mediated hepatic oxidative stress and the progression from steatohepatitis to hepatocellular carcinoma. In vivo and in vitro mouse and human models are also used to study the effects of TCDD and related AhR ligands on hepatic gene expression, metabolic flux, oxidative stress, and immune surveillance. The selected candidate will be expected to conduct research as part of a larger team, supervise/train undergraduate and graduate students, prepare research manuscripts, and present their results at scientific meetings.
