Specialist- Narlikar Lab Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics, University of California, San Francisco
The Narlikar Lab at the Department of Biochemistry & Biophysics is looking for a Full Specialist. The selected candidate will work independently to study how phase-separation of chromatin is regulated by various chromatin binding proteins. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to: • Developing and executing the experimental strategies; • Interpreting the results; and • Working with the lab PI to discuss the broader implications and write up the study for future publication.
Qualifications • Ph.D. in molecular/cellular biology, biochemistry, or related field with at least 5 additional years of research experience in chromatin biology • Experience in studying chromatin regulation in yeast • Experience in the biochemical study of chromatin remodeling enzymes • Experience in reconstituting chromatin
Preferred Qualifications • Experience in computational docking • Bioinformatics experience
