Post-Doctoral Research Scientist
Summary Description:Our laboratory specializes in liver biology, with a particular focus on using complementary model systems to study molecular mechanisms underlying cholestatic liver diseases, including zebrafish, mouse and in vitro cell culture systems. Research focus will be on on elucidating the mechanisms driving cellular heterogeneity within cholangiocytes and how cell-type specific characteristics determine cellular behavior and disease phenotype. Studies will include cell isolation, traditional molecular techniques and assays, gene editing using CRISPR-CAS9, RNA-Seq, Epigenetic profiling, bioinformatics using both in vitro systems and whole animal models.
