The Truong Lab for Cell Programming and Genome Engineering (truonglab.com) at NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to hire up to two PostDoctoral Researchers to help with "reimagining" the human genome.
join an exciting 5-year NIH-funded project to build programmable iPSC-derived Dendritic Cells for applications in cancer cell immunotherapy. The Truong lab is a synthetic biology group located in Manhattan by the NYU School of Medicine focused on 'writing' the DNA in human iPSCs to engineer new cell therapies and regenerative medicines.
Candidates will be responsible for working with human iPSCs, mouse ESCs, developing new approaches to engineer genomes, and direct cellular differentiation. They will also be expected to work closely with the NYU School of Medicine using human peripheral blood monocytes (PBMCs). The successful candidate will be driven, creative, and team-oriented with a passion for engineering biology. This is also an opportunity to shape the direction of a new lab, mentor younger members, and get very close guidance from a new investigator. We are seeking individuals with a strong background in synthetic/systems biology, biomedical engineering, molecular biology, immunology, and/or related fields.
