The Suh Laboratory at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center is actively seeking 1-2 highly motivated postdoctoral fellows with interests and experiences in female reproductive aging.
Research focus: The Sub lab is interested in understanding genetic and epigenetic mechanisms that underlie the interface of intrinsic aging and disease in humans using functional genomics approaches. The successful candidate will work closely with Dr. Yousin Suh in research projects addressing cellular and molecular mechanisms that regulate aging of the female reproductive tissues. Possible research projects include, but are not limited to, identification of novel pathways and factors that impact reproductive aging process, mechanisms that regulate the aging of reproductive organ-associated cells, identification of age-related interactions between the stem cells and their niche, development of approaches to modulate reproductive aging. This position will provide opportunity to participate in the emerging field of reproductive aging research and valuable experience for a career in either academia or industry.
