The Staff Associate II position is critical to the overall support and maintenance and operation of computer equipment and software
Working Knowledge of Excel, Windows, Linux operating system
Basic local network management, language R, Python and Perl
Collaborate with and assist investigators of various skill levels for computational tasks involving analyses of DNA sequences (including whole exome (WES) and whole genome (WGS)), RNA sequences, QTL data, and ophthalmic images, using available bioinformatic, imaging, and machine learning techniques.
Expected to assist resolving hardware and software issues of PCs that are deployed at the department laboratories by interacting with the Departmental IT group and the CUIMC IT group when necessary
Carries out projects with limited PI supervision
Operates and maintains equipment, software programs, computers
Comprehensive understanding of software used in projects
Bachelor's degree in specific research field plus 4 years of related experience
