Postdoctoral Associate
Position Summary:The Department of Marine & Coastal Sciences, in collaboration with PIs in various other departments are seeking two Postdoctoral Associates. The Postdoctoral Associates will conduct specialized research on a collaborative project on the origin, evolution and construction of proteins that transfer electrons (i.e. oxidoreductases). It is expected that they have expertise in several of the following areas including bioinorganic chemistry, structural biology, microbial genomics, biogeochemistry, bioinformatics, molecular evolution, and synthetic organic chemistry that will allow the design of interdisciplinary experiments to test origins of life questions.
