Biomedical Engineering - Research Engineer
The Research Engineer is part of a lab within Biomedical Engineering at Vanderbilt University School of Engineering. The key functions of the position is performing research, analyzing data, and documentation/recording all research results. They will evaluate and analyze experimental data in alignment with the labs core function. Duties and Responsibilities: Synthesize nucleic acids for a variety of projects including applications for siRNA, miRNA mimics, gene editing guide RNAs, gene expression imaging probes, micro-RNA inhibitors Learn about and employ chemical modification strategies to enhance the stability and potency of nucleic acids Run nucleic acid candidates on HPLC for analytical and preparative purposes
