Position Summary: The Dominguez research lab in the Department of Biochemistry and Microbiology at Rutgers is seeking applications for a postdoc associate position in the field of Microbiology, focused on the study of the microbiome/microbial ecology. The candidate must have expertise in bioinformatics, sequence analyses (16s and shotgun metagenomics), analyses of diversity, maturity, linear discrimination, source tracking, gene content (such as Metaphlan, IMGm), the closing of whole genomes, as well as RNA-based gene expressions such as nanostring and RNA Seq. Must also have animal work and bench work experience (sample DNA extraction and sequencing prep), ability to network with others
