Staff Research Associate II, Erle Lab, Dept. of Medicine
The Erle lab at UCSF is seeking a Staff Research Associate II (SRA II) interested in studying basic mechanisms underlying asthma. Asthma is a major public health problem that affects more than 300 million children and adults. Our studies, which are funded by the National Institutes of Health' (NIH's) National Heart Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) and National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), focus on identifying how changes in the airway epithelium cause morbidity and mortality in asthma. We also collaborate with the Innovative Genomics Institute (IGI) at UC Berkeley on a Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF)-funded grant assessing cell-specific delivery of novel genome editing enzymes to correct orphan mutations in CF.The SRA II will join a team of
