The Division of Hematology, Oncology, Stem Cell Transplantation and Regenerative Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University seeks one or more innovative and collaborative researcher(s) to join the Division as an Assistant or Associate Professor in the University Tenure Line (UTL) or University Medical Line (UML).
The predominant criterion for appointment in the University Tenure Line is a major commitment to research and teaching.
The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the University Medical Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.
Faculty rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate(s).
The successful candidate(s) may be a post-doctoral fellow, clinical fellow, assistant professor or associate professor who has demonstrated the potential to achieve or has a demonstrated record of achievement in the broadly-defined fields of pediatric cancer or stem cell transplant, with publications in leading scientific or medical journals. We are particularly interested in candidates who lead laboratory and/or computational biology research programs.
We expect a successful candidate to develop an independent research program that will contribute to a rapidly growing interdisciplinary translational research effort focused on the molecular pathogenesis of pediatric hematologic and oncologic disease states, new drug discovery, cellular therapies, gene editing, and early phase clinical research. The successful candidate will be expected to teach graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, clinical fellows and participate in relevant clinical and basic science conferences. Candidates must have a MD, MD/PhD or PhD.
