Position Summary A Research Associate (Post-Doc) position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Neal Hammer in the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at Michigan State University. We seek a passionate post-doctoral associate that will work towards increasing our knowledge of the mechanisms the important human pathogen Staphylococcus aureus utilizes to acquire nutrient sulfur during infection. The project will use genetic, biochemical, ‘omics’-based technologies, and animal models of infection to discover underlying mechanisms that promote acquisition of this essential element in vivo. Applicants should have a PhD degree in the area of microbiology/immunology/molecular biology or a related field and have a strong background in genetics. S
