Research Associate-Fixed Term
Position Summary The Department of Plant, Soil and Microbial Sciences invites applications from outstanding candidates for a fixed term Research Associate position in the area of: Plant-Microbe Interactions, Bacteriology. Responsibilities will include: (i) determining the role of cyclic di-GMP in the regulation of virulence factors in the plant pathogen Erwinia amylovora. This work may include molecular cloning, DNA and RNA purification, mass spectrometry analytical methods for nucleotide quantification, protein purification, enzyme assays, quantitative PCR analyses, and transcriptomic analyses; (ii) studying the regulation of the type III secretion system of E. amylovora by cyclic di-GMP and small RNAs as well as identifying the in planta targets of ty
