Postdoctoral Research Associate - Bone Marrow Transplant
Job DescriptionThe main interest of our laboratory is the discovery and characterization of gene mutations in patients with clonal hematopoiesis (CH), myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML), with the long term goal of understanding the molecular mechanisms that control abnormal hematopoiesis (including hematopoietic stem cells).  Research opportunities are available for highly motivated individuals to study the role of gene mutations and hematopoietic stressors in the initiation and progression of clonal hematopoiesis and to study spliceosome gene mutations in MDS pathogenesis.  Ongoing projects are focused on understanding the mechanism of clonal hematopoiesis initiation and progression to MDS.
