The Bioinformatics Programmer uses professional bioinformatics concepts. Applies computational procedures to resolve a variety of analysis and research issues, primarily related to processing and analysis of next-generation sequence (NGS) data related to pathogen genomics. Also implements or modifies existing algorithms to analyze genetic data in the context of spatial, transmission, or other epidemiologic contexts, including population genetics and longitudinal data. Presents visualizations of data or results from processed data.
