The Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Technician A to join our team in a full time position within the Division of Molecular Genetics. Columbia University Medical Center???s Department of Pediatrics is a world leader in providing care for children. Our mission areas include Healthcare, Education and Research. We offer care for our patients in over 25 specialty areas as well as individualized care for complex cases. Our Residency, Fellowship and Graduate programs are among the best in the Nation. Our Clinical, Translational and Basic Science research features collaborations across specialties and stretches from the bench to bedside. We also have several active Clinical trials available to our patients.
Coordinate participant scheduling and answer participant inquiries.
Accurate record who does and does not consent to testing and communicate this back to the study team.
Enter data into the study data base and attend team meetings.
Any other related duties as assigned.
Two years of college or a completed A.A. program with an emphasis in chemistry, biology or physics or a completed animal husbandry program.
One year of related experience, or equivalent in education, training and/or experience.
Bachelor???s degree preferred
Fluent in Spanish with the ability to read and write preferred
Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly organized with great attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
