TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE, VOS LAB , Biology , to join a new research team studying how gene expression and genome architecture are coupled. The work will involve protein expression, protein purification, molecular cloning, insect cell culture work, and structure determination. Will also assist with lab organization, including database management, training new members, and reagent maintenance. The group uses biochemical and structural approaches including X-ray crystallography and cryo-EM to analyze how machines involved in gene expression and genome organization interact and regulate each other's activity.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : a bachelor's degree in biochemistry, genetics, biophysics, molecular biology or related field; at least two years work experience in a biochemistry/molecular biology laboratory (which may include experience gained as an undergraduate); strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
