The Siemer lab (siemerlab.usc.edu) at the Zilkha Neurogenetic Institute is seeking a Research Lab Technician II to join its team. The lab focuses on determining the structure and dynamics of amyloid fibrils in functional and disease-relevant contexts. The successful applicant will have a background in biology or biochemistry and will be have experience in protein biochemical techniques, in particular in recombinant protein expression and purification.
The primary responsibility of the successful candidate will be the production of recombinant protein. In addition, the candidate will have the opportunity to learn a variety of biophysical techniques used in the lab.
